My Graduation Day

Look at my eyes and face - sleepy mode =p

3rd October 2010 - the moment that I had been waiting for since I was small; my graduation day.

I enjoyed the day, but it was not to the fullest because I was still tired. Being post call on the day before, I was not that energetic on that day. Luckily, I was surrounded by excited families and friends so, my day was still happening =)

Do It in The Right Way

One of my colleagues asked me, "I saw your clerking sheet done at 3 am and the history was quite thorough. How can you produce such during that time?"

I did not know how to answer the question. I was just smiling.

It was not easy to clerk and write a thorough history while the brain was so tired and exhausted during on call (and to maintain a good handwriting).

The drives for me to do so were I wanted to do my best for the patients and I wanted to make it easy for the ward houseman reviewing the patient in the next day.

My message to my juniors, there's no shortcut even when we are busy. We are doing exactly the same thing like what we had been doing during student time (then only we can learn more).

I thanked Allah for helping all the way.

It has been almost 4 months...

I'm in the last few days in medical posting. I'll miss this department very much.

I was lucky to be given opportunity to experience in almost all rotations in the posting. With a bigger number of house officers in the department, not all of us could have experienced each rotation.

I have good colleagues and seniors in this department. They are indeed my true friends and most importantly my teachers in life. Thanks for correcting me when I was wrong. Thanks for guiding me when I did not know something.

The MOs keep giving me encouragement to pursue in medical (though I've never thought about it during student time). Now, medical in one of the considerations =)

My everyday working life is meaningful and full of lessons.
When I punched out the card in the evening, I'd usually say to myself that tomorrow will be a better day.

After all, everything depends on how we perceive life. Life is tough but I'm tougher to face it. I thank Allah for giving me the strength.

Keep praying to Allah for guidance in every second.

Keep being humble so that we can always learn from others.

I am going to O&G department on the 27th Nov. I am looking forward to learn more in O&G! =)
