Connecting with People

Today, I relearned about brotherhood.

To give way to our friend first before our own-self.

It reminded me on the story of a companion during a war when he was exhausted and thirsty. He was then given drink by a person, however he refused to receive it.

He asked the person to give the drink to others as he thought they were people who were more in need than him.

The person then went to give the drink to other companion and the same thing happened when the companion asked him to give to other in need person.

This happened for several times until the drink reached the first companion.
(This story is apart from an authentic hadith but unfortunately, I do not remember the whole hadith)

We need to be good to other people so that people will be good to us.

In a charity visit in Rumah Ehsan, Dungun

We need to care about others so that people will care about us.

We need to have the sense of empathy to other people.

For everything that we give, we will always get it back. That is the formula in life. If we don't get it in this world, insya Allah there will be something for us in the hereafter.

So friend, let us treat people in the way we want others to treat us. Do it sincerely because of Allah. Insya Allah, there will be no hurt feeling in our daily relationship with people.

It seems easy, but it is definitely not as we deal with human. May Allah show us the way.
