Her voice

In Wednesday evening, my tiring day was brightened when Wahid picked up my phone call. After nearly 2 weeks of not having her around us, it was such a big relief.

We talked about so many things. Everything came into the conversation.

Most importantly, I admired on how tough she was when she told me about her condition and procedures performed on her.

She told me on how painful was the bone marrow aspiration.

She also told me on how grateful she felt as there were other patients with the same illness in the ward having a more severe symptoms than her.

She also told me on the difficulty in moving around since the laparotomy incision site was not healed well and she had to do the dressing by herself.

Luckily, she has a strong mom to be always beside and support her. A mom is always like that. A very strong person that will never let the children turning down along the way.

Yesterday, I got this message from Safwan's and Ili's status in Facebook:

Update on Nurwahida: She was admitted for non neutropenic sepsis noted upon her chemo session. Her Hb was 6.3 and was tranfused with 2 pack cell, started on antibiotic. She's feeling much better and her fever has settled. She is diagnosed with HL stage IV as per liver involvement. Her team is arranging for more test to... ensure it's not NHL d/t her disease presentation. She was discharged yesterday.

I never knew and never bother to know the stage of her illness. It was stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma!

The best thing that I can do for her is to pray for her physical, mental, emotional and most importantly spiritual strength to fight with the illness. I pray to Allah to give way to the cure of the illness.

After all, this life is a journey to meet Allah. We never know on what would happen to us in the next second. May our faith be stronger with all the challenges in life.

Never give up our hope to Allah as He is the Best Planner.

"Do the people think that they will be left alone on saying "We believe," and they will not be tested? We did test those who gone before them. Allah has to see who are the truthful and who are the liars." Surah Al-Ankabut (29): 2-3

  1. Entahlah Kak Su, berat mata memandang berat lagi bahu memikul.

Bila saya pergi lawat Kak Wahid dulu, jadi kelu.

Tak tahu nak kata apa, sebab tak pernah terbayang akan jadi benda ni.

    ALLAH KNOW BEST.
